Hi All,
I have an issue where some people can telnet to imap (i.e -telnet mail.xxxxx.org 143==>01 login username password) and some people cannot. The error I get for a user who fails authentication (again, this is from testing a telnet session) is this: "No LOGON Failure:
unknown username or bad password". For
the users who cannot login we cannot get imap mail working on different hardware such as iphones, etc. I'm not sure if there is a corrupt issue going on on our Exchange2003 server(SP2). I've checked our IMAP Virtual
Server settings and I cannot see anything out of the norm. I do not see any errors in Event Viewer that would lead me to anything. I'm at a loss at what
to check.
I've turned on diagnostic logging for all IMAP4svc counters, but I don't see any counters that would show me "failed authentication"
Any help or suggestions would be appreciated.
TIA,
Zoey
