IMail application popup event id 26

I have tons of event logs with this description. Just had to start and stop SMTP. Does anyone have any clue as to what may be causing this? Here are the logs:

Application popup: imail1.exe - Application Error: The application failed to initialize properly (0xc0000142). Click OK to terminate.
