I have a table and I want to put a picture in a table cell. Is there some sort of way that I can place an image in a table cell so when I change and resize the table size, rows and colums, I don't have to separately move each image?

This would be very helpful because I am currently placing my images in top of the cells but every time the table changes the images have to be individually re-aligned. Perhaps the images could be recognized as text, but I don't know how to do that in InDesign.

Try clicking with the text tool inside the table cell in which you want to place the image. It should then come in as an inline graphic and stay anchored to the cell.

Hi - on a similar vein...

I would like to edit my table of 100 images and can't figure out how to select several cells/images to move them down a row so I can add new employees to the block/dept. (They don't go all the way across the Table but in 4 col. blocks).

Usually you can hold the shift key and keep selecting items and it will only let me select a whole row and then down.

There a lot of them to move individually every time I update it. Any suggestions? In every other way a Table is a great way to display/organize an employee image poster/chart!

Best, Wingvictory

If you have added them as inline graphics then you won't be able to select the images to move them as they are anchored to the cell in which they are placed. Perhaps you could insert a new row below, then copy and paste the row of images you want to move?
