I have created web pages whereby clicking on a thumbnail image shows the original in a new window which can be closed leaving the original window in place.

This works fine on my lap top (Windows 98 * IE5) but on my desk top (Windows 95 IE4) clicking on the thumbnail does nothing.

Is it due to Windows 95 or IE4 or a problem with my desk top?

Is there any remedy for this?

do you get any error message ? which one(s) ?

IZA,

By clicking on the thumbnail, there is no response - not even an error message.

Check out, for instance
and by clicking on the photos at the bottom a new window with the enlarged photo is displayed BUT NOT on my desk top (Windows 95 & IE4)

I look forward to your comments.

I have designed several sites with this facility.

oooh i see
it works everywhere but on your desktop
so i think it's an option in your browser that you should (un)check ... somewhere in the security settings maybe ...

iza,

thanks for replying.

I went to my desk top but could not find anything that might relate to the problem.

I looked in the Internet Options but nothing.

It seems I may have to revise the thumbnail to enlarge in a new page and for the person browsing to hit the back button

UNLESS there is another solution.

it's weird ... hope someone else could help you !!!!

I would suggest changing
Code:
target="new window"
to target=_new. Maybe replace the spaces in the graphic file names with underscores.

But, it seems to me, if you can't click any link, then it is a browser problem, and this is not the correct forum to solve personal browser problems. I would reinstall the browser.
