I want to introduce 5 images in the same layer and i want them to appear one after another with an effect.How can i do this?

If you are not a big fan of action script you can use tweening to do a slide show effect

In frames 1-50 load picture1
@1 set _alpha to low value (30%)
@25 set _alpha to 100%
@50 fade to _alpha=0
Load picture 2 frame 50-100
follow same steps as Pic1

You could also control the _xscale to make the picture grow and shrink.Use a guide layer if you want to move the picture
as it grows/shrinks.

Doing it on multiple frames this way also allows you to add a slider later that lets the user navigate the pictures.

I'm sure the action script gurus will tell you the correct and more efficient way. There have been some posts for fading in text which could easily be modified to work for images as well. eSearing.com
