Hello again

I need to place some gif/jpg images into my program but am completely unsure of how to do it.
I used to use visual tcl til i gave up all hope of getting ANYTHING working, and the code this generates does not work.
All i need is like:

image [....[d:/ok.gif]

Is there any packages i need to include?

Cheers!

At present, only GIF and PPM/PGM formats are supported, according to the "photo" man page.

You need to create a photo from the .gif file:

image create photo <image name> -file <filename>

Then you can use that image by name eg:

button <button name> -image <image name> ...

For image formats other than GIF and PPM/PGM, you'll need to get the Img extension. Go to the Tcl'ers Wiki ( and read the &quot;Img&quot; page, for more information.
