Hey all,

I run a windows 2000 Terminal Server with about 30 users. I have 1 user out of all of them that has a problem displaying images when viewing emails. The strangest part is that when he right clicks he can copy and paste the image into another document and it's comes out fine.. but in the email is displays with the red X in the top left corner .. I've compared his security settings to my own and they seem to be identical. I'm at a loss for what the problem could be.

Any help is appreciated.

My guess that it would be related to the user's Temp folder. OE & outlook use temporary folders to store incoming attachments, including graphic images. Exactly how to fix it could be difficult. For starters, make sure the user's 'temp' environment variables are correct & that the user has the appropriate filesystem permissions to those folders.

I have cleared the temp folder and ensured the user has permissions .. I then resent another image email and it was the same problem. Funny thing I noticed though I that I can "reply" to the email and the image will appear...

I solved the problem by deleting all the contents in the OLK Folder located under the Internet Temporary Folder in my profile ...
