Hi
I saw a web-site somewhere, (& forgot to bookmark it) - It allowed you to view your images at differing %ages of compression - It was an automatic process - You pointed this device at a picture and then saw it at about 10 different compression levels from 100% down to 15%, and that way you could see what distortion and loss of quality you'd get at each level - Has anyone come across a tool like this & can they refer me to a URL please? - This was an on-line tool, does anyone know of a downloadable version of a similar viewer?
Thanks [ponder]

It's fairly easily done using the GD library in PHP - see

If you are using asp (windows) to accomplish this I recommend components. I have used many for various websites and found them to be feature rich and very reliable.

BTW, I have no connection with them whatsoever apart from being a past customer
