image size for a powerpoint background

I have to create a background for a company presentation. Before I start I need to know what size I should make the image that will be imported for use as the background.

please help

check your screen resolution size - shuold be either 800 x 600 or 1024 x 768

or somehting else with the same ratio

make the image that size for full screen presentations
