OK I give up can anyone provide ideas why the images in IE look so poor. I've been through everything I can think of and can't improve things. Text is OK but GIF/JPEG look poor

Things I found that can cause this:
[ol]
[li]The resolution and colour palette of the monitor used to view it.[/li]
[li]Specifying and image size which is wildly different from the original.[/li]
[li]Inapproriate otimisation of the images when saving as GIF or JPEG.[/li]
[/ol]
Having said that:
[ol]
[li]Do your images look ok in other apps (e.g., the image editor you're using)?[/li]
[li]Do images look awful on other sites?[/li]
[/ol]
Hope this helps.

In the game of life the dice have an odd number of sides.

After a bit more searching found the problem. It was a setting in the graphic card options (fonts set to large). Once set to normal the images look OK.

It was strange that JPEG images opened with IE looked OK but images of web sites (either JPEG or GIF) were poor.

Thanks for your input.
