Image Resizing Problem in IE 6.0 Browser Window?

In IE 6.0 something annoying happens when I click on JPG/GIF thumbnails to view full size images. If the full size image is wider than my browser window, the image runs off either the left or right side of my browser (sometimes both sides). When this happens there's no way for me to view the whole image because there's no scroll bar at the bottom of my browser (there is only a side scroll bar).

Is there a browser setting to make a bottom scroll bar appear if images are wider than my browser? Or is there a setting to make full size images resize no wider than the width of my browser?

I don't think the bottom scrollbar was obscured by the taskbar, I think the scrollbar wasn't there at all.

I say "was" because now the problem isn't happening where it was before. Not sure if the web site did something on their end.

How about the possibility that you were in a popup window that was showing the image... but the window wasn't large enough to accomodate the full image size. That would explain the lack of scroll bars (and possible other missing window furniture).

Cheers,
Jeff
