image problem

i have this problem:
the images load faster with image control, however their shapes can not be manipulated like the picturebox control. so basically my question is this:

how can i load images fast (as with image control), and be able to scale the width and height of them?

The simplest way is to set the stretch property to true. Although over the past couple of weeks there have been some excellent examples using the windows API. I belive one of these examples used StretchBlt.
