Image Options . . ?

Dual core procesor
1 Gig Ram
2 200 Gig Drives; C:\ and D:\
Nero 7 Ultra Edition

Can I burn an "image" of Drive C:\ and use it for a complete startup AND restore of the drive (including the operating system) from a DVD if there is a problem?

Would it be a better to burn an image of Drive C:\ (including the operating system files, etc.) to my 200 Gig Drive D:\ so I could recover from there?

If my Drive C has crashed, and Nero 7 is on Drive C, how do boot up and restore if I can't access Nero or Drive C or The image of Drive C from Drive D?

Is an Image the best way to accomplish this?
