It is possible if you use Norton Ghost of Powerquest, i use this on our test machines as soon as i bust windows i just stick in the Ghost boot floppy and 3 mins later i'm back up and running.

If you currently have just one partition taking up whole disk, you'll need 3rd party software like Partition Magic to split it into 2. You could then use something like Ghjost as suggested by Teamaker (PM also has its own partition copying functionality I believe).
