Hi there, as far as I've tested and researched, it can only be done with LCS (Live Content Suite).
I Have the same model and played around with it but found no way of changing it except for the use of LCS where you can display twitter feeds or adverts to users with the same model etc.
Go check the video demo of it and there is a trial version available but i haven't gotten around to installing or purchasing the software.

With mcd version 5 you no longer need html apps licenses
The html toolkit can be used to create a new screensaver
Within the samples supplied ther is one fo rthe 5360.
The refresh rate is set in one of the config files
Basicvally you make a new screensaver , upload it to the mcd and then apply it to the user
