I have an image that has several hundred paths and layers. I want to be able to use the shapes of the paths to be polygons in an image map.

Any help is greatly appreciated.

The only way I can think of is to...

Bring ai file into PhotoShop (bring it in as both an image and as paths).
Create alpha channels using selections from the paths (one channel for each image map).
Switch over to ImageReady - load selections using the channels you created - create image map from selection.

Nice. That is quite a few programs but I did it once and it worked great. Thank you.

Too bad I have over 300 selections. Guess brute force and ignorance will have to do. However I have found a type library for Illustrator in VB. Have you ever used that? I can most of the information extracted aside from coordinates.

Thank you for your help. I am much further than I was.
