Image map problems within a template 1

For some reason I am unable to get my image maps to work within an 'editable' region within a template. In UltrDev 4, when I create a new page from my template file and place an image within the 'editable' region it works fine. But when I try mapping areas within that image it doesn't seem to like it. If I do the same to a file not associated with a template, the maps work fine.

Is anyone aware of this and is there a work around or solutions to this problem?

Probably the part of code that's responsible for the image map to work is in the uneditable region.

Actually, when you place an image in the 'editable' region, select it and try using the rectangle hot spot tool, it won't even let you highlight an area within that image. This is only with images within a template. I tried the same thing on a blank .htm file that is not associated with a template and it worked fine. If you could do a test for yourself and let me know if you have the same problem. I'm not sure why DW is restricting where you can map images.
