I have a set of several thousand pictures for a web development company which I need to process. I want to make them all XXXpixels by XXXpixels at XXpixels/inch in .jpg format.

Is there a command line utility in Linux which will allow me to batch process these if I stick it in perl (or choose any flavor) script?

Thanks for any ideas...

Check into Image Magick, which is a standard package on just about any Linux system. ( You might already have it installed and not even know it. For example, type the word "mogrify" into your terminal, and see if it is a command on your system. If so, then Image Magick is installed, and "mogrify" is the utility you can use to process your image transformations. -------------------------------------------
