How do I make Image (jpg) Folders STAY IN Thumbnail View at all times? Example: When I go into various folders that hold some JPGs, I always have to re-set the View - because the folders always open as "Details" and not Thumbnails and I want that Setting to Stick - anyone know? Exaample: I am in Outlook Express and want to Insert a pic - I click on Insert, and then I open up my image folder - but the setting is not Thumbnails - and I want it to open as Thumbnails. thank you.

XP Home Edition

Remembering folder views is an ongoing bug with most Windows Operating Systems, it has never been really solved by Microsoft, and is still present in Vista, and probably Windows 7 too.

Look in Folder Options/ View, and make sure you have checked "Remember each folders view's setting". Have a look at this too.

"Launch folder window in separate process".

Specifies that each folder is opened in a separate part of memory. When you open each folder in a separate part of memory, the stability of Windows can be increased. However, your computer's performance might decrease slightly.

Your view settings or customizations for a folder are lost or incorrect
