I know this must be a pretty easy question. Pretty new to graphics.

I want an image to fade or dissolve. I got it to work kind of using the gradient, but it kinds out very messy not a clean fade.

First I used the gradient and did not have the effect I wanted at all it was the image with the the gradient on top but it really just changed the color. I then selected Dissolve mode and that is where I am at now.

I dont want a different color just the image to disappear slowly. Just part of the learning process I guess.

Thanks in advance.

Hi,

You'll want to use a layer mask. Read up on that and how to use it in my faq: faq229-1962

Hope this helps!
