Image Error

Hi everybody,

I am trying to insert and image on to my report. But when i click the Browse button in the Image Browser Dialogue box to browse to my image location, it gives me the following error.
WEB SERVER ERROR :
404 NOT FOUND.

I am not able to figure out the cause. Can somebody please help me out here.

Hello Uday,
Please ensure that :
1. Your Web Server is up and running.
2. You have assigned Read permission on Cognos8 Virtual
Directory.
3. You have Directory Browse Permission on Images
Directory.

Hi there, I have similar problem , i want to attach image to the report but when i browse the default location does not show any value,
How can i varify if i have correct URL to browse ?
If i do not have ..samples/images folders can i create it and then use the path as URL ?
Default URL in my case is

https://servername/cognos84/samples/images

is this correct ?

Also as i dont have access to the server network person has put images in the shared directory folder '\\machine_name\cognos_images' how can i use this ?
Is it possible to use this instead of URL and How ?
