Help! I need to display images on a form. (No, it's not what you're thinking; it's scanned logos and artwork for various clients.) When I try to display them, I get a blank with an "x" across the display area. The visible property is .t. and it's enabled. I tried setting the picture property to a default logo file. It displays fine until I change it. Then it switches to the blank. That even happens if I change it to the same image.

What's the problem?

TIA,
Shanachie [sig][/sig]

The problem is that VFP Image control cannot display certain types of images. For example, some types of compressed BMP files could not be displayed. In addition, VFP image control cannot display TIFF images and many other types, only common types.

Did you try the Kodak Image Control? There's a tip in the FAQ's section on its use here. [sig]
John Durbin
john@johndurbin.com
MCP Visual FoxPro
The files I'm working with now are jpeg's and the control displays them correctly when the picture property is set at design-time. But if I change the picture property, the image is not displayed, even if I change it to the same image that is currently shown.

I'm not familar with the Kodak Image Control. Please direct me.

Any other ideas?

TIA,
Shanachie

Than the reson is that you set up path incorrectly. Please, check what you have in the Picture property of Image control when you see 'X'. TomasDill, right you are! jpeg is NOT jpg!

The professional level of programmer could be determined by level of stupidity of his/her bugs

When all else fails, check the obvious.

Thanks,
