image colors faded after export as EPS file from QE-4

I am new to Quark so excuse what may be a silly question, but when exporting a file with an image as an EPS file and then opeing in Adobe illustrator or Photoshop, the colors are all washed out...

Any ideas???

I'm not sure that I have found any kind of true color management system on the program. I see the document and application settings for color but no where else to manage the color...

Where would they be?
