im using redhat 9 and im looking for a good mpeg viewer, i've found a tip on another forum to download the mplayer-0.92 and issued the ff commands to resolve also the software dependency issue:


$ apt-get update
$ apt-get install mplayer

Actually i can see it now on my desktop but when i tried to run it many times it doesn't work ....pls help and teach me also how to unistall the package i/ve install

apt-get? What?

Debian uses apt-get. Search Google for the mpeg player/viewer and install using an rpm file.
