I've got a Windows 2003 Server and I need to write to a file on a local drive. When I tried to do this from a remote computer it said access denied. Then I went to the server and right clicked on the folder. There is a greyed out check in the read only checkbox. I can removed it and save, but when I reopen the folder it appears again. This is on both my C: and D: drives and I've got full permissions enabled on both of them.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Craig

Shares are created as read only on 2003 server have you checked that the 'share' not 'NTFS' permissions are not set too read only?
