I'm relatively new to Telecoms and I am wanting to understand more about the back end of a switch i.e trunking and hardware and also the more knowledge of telephony in general. Whilst i have enough knowledge to administer most things on a Lucent switch it would be great to understand more about ISDN principles and telecom architecture from the network side. Often with call disconnections or echo it's difficult to identify what may be a fault whether it on the network or on the switch. I'd welcome any advice from those of you who are self-taught.

Thanks
