im not sure if my 40GB is alive

Hello,

Ok let me start what I have.
I have two computers one is a server and one for my personal use.
I had a 40 GB Maxtor in my server
I have done some migrating two partitions with partition magic and right now the drive is dead... but I hope I can do some thing to fix it
I have tried to put the 40 GB to my personal computer and when I start windows from the hard drive that belong there, it stops on the boot logo of windows.
in the bios the hard drive is detected properly

I have also tried to use the partitions magic rescue diskettes
And there it says that I have a partition error. I try to format and it doesn’t ((

Please help me

I have all my websites on that hard drive...

If you connected the server HD onto the same IDE cable as the boot HD in your personal computer, then did you jumper the server HD as Slave?

Are both OS's the same? What are they?
