im new to Dual powa K7N2G-ILSR

i bought this motherboard

and it has a standard atx connector and a four pin 12v one aswell, so does my psu.

Do i use both these connectors @ the same time?

If so why and whats the benefits of doing so supposed to be?

I would suppose that the 12v connector is required either for the NForce chipset or for a high-end AMD CPU.
Check your manual for confirmation, but I would connect it if I found no other information.
Logically, the mainboard will be able to manage the power and, if it is not required, nothing should break, whereas if the power is needed but not present, you will surely have difficulties.
Check your manual to be sure.

You MUST hook power to that 4 pin slot unless you have the new square plug from your power supply. The plug supplies power to the graphics chipset on the motherboard.
