IM Monitoring software

I am trying to find a good LAN based IM monitoring software. I've tried several but because of the multiple segments (off hubs\routers,etc) they will only monitor the hub\switch they are plugged into. We COULD go the route and purchase a new firewall with a monitor port, but the company (of course) doesnt want it that badly. Has anyone used or seen a good LAN based package for this?
