Im having a shocker with... being asked to do impossible things?

Hi Guys,

todays challenge is to find a way for a database to initiate calls through an ip office.

client is a mortgage company, so at point x of the mortgage process the database needs to dial the client and play a prompt, most likely through text to speech.

there are a million variables which i will work out later, but my question is, will this ever work?

is there any middleware that anyone has heard of or has experience with that might be suitable?

You need an application that uses tapi (cti pro)and plays a wav
The application just dails out on the ipo
I think a database connection on vmpro is only for incoming but i am not sure to be honest

yeah originally we looked at vmpro databases and having the clients dial in, but its been flipped on its head now, but what you described is exactly what we are after.

now how do i word that in google....

You need a database and a script that will a date expire and picks the telephone number and dials the number
When it is connected it plays a wav

You need someone who knows how to program it, thats all

so i will need some form of autodialer?

i wont be touching the database side, just giving them the means to pass calls through the ip office.

im getting my hopes up! i should never do that

Tapi works with a windows dialer so that part is not difficult
Just setup tapi

Not personally (I believe that they implement their software on top of a functiong IP office) So i've never done an implementation (as I've never got an IPO working )
