I'm getting this PRI trunk errors. What do they mean?

If I remember correctly "255 FAIL 8" means your 'd' channel is not up so the trunk is not going to work at all. Try busying the d channel and releasing. If that doesn't work busy the board, reset it, and release it.

The Avaya manual says that you have a bad board.

Does it fail 138 when u test the board? Copy and past the first page or 'test board xxxx long'

fail 138 with no aux code almost always means 'no signal' from the t-1 provider. If u know how, u can do a loopback with a piece of wire to see if the test will pass then. If it does then u know the board is ok. Some boards have a loopback jack installed between the board and the demark. Do 'display ds1" and the board number and enter. Then look to see if on that page says 'loopback power' 'yes' or something like that.
