i'm drowning !! please any help on WebSphere on AIX

I have an assignment to install/configure WebSphere & move application into production..
Do I need to be very good with Shell scripts ? (I know basic Unix commands but I'm not very good)

"moving into production" ..does this mean adding servlets, ejbs e.t.c to already installed websphere or using AIX commands to move files into production environment ?

any advise will help
