I'm really battling using dbExpress over MyDAC for MySQL. The reason I chose MyDAC is that is rated number one on list in the 'about.com' tutorials, ' My problem is that I like the build in validation the dbExpress uses. That's such a great feature to have already 'built in'. I was wondering if there was anyone who had any experience using both components. For example, I like the fact that in dbExress tables, you can 'double click' on the TSQLTable component and a field list comes up with data validation that you can do. In MyDAC there's no list with properties that come up, only the SQL filter statements. I am still gaining experience through database programming, so please bear with my experience level in both these components. Anyone with any additional insight, as usual, I appreciate any comments or suggestions. Thanks! =)

P.S. I alike dbgrid's 'field list' editor with properties associated with it.

I just found out if you double click on the query component or table component inside the structure pallete, it gives you this functionality. So, perhaps I will now stick with MyDAC. It's working well now.
