Hi. Our corporate office is displeased with the level of service they're getting from their current email host, and as such want to start having their email hosted on my server here (same city, different building). There are only 10 accounts, which I've already created. From what I've read, I need to:

-Create the accounts (done)
-Add the new domain to my GWIA\GroupWise Iden\Foreign ID line (done)
-Contact the current mail host, and have them update their MX records to point the incoming mail to me (actually to AppRiver, but that's easy enough)

Am I leaving anything out? I'd really hate to screw up the CEO and President's email flow. Thanks,

You need to add the domain to your internet addressing configuration. Just putting it in the Foreign ID won't do it, in fact, it could be argued that the foreign id is not even necessary anymore.

Assign the new user accounts to the new domain under internet addressing in their account.

Where do I add this new domain? I thought adding it to that foreign ID line was the way to go, but after reading Marv's reply I see that I was way off base. Sure enough, I tried going to my new users (they're External Entities, btw) GroupWise properties, and that new domain isn't in my list of Internet choices.

I browsed the entire GWIA in Console1, but can't find it anywhere. Thanks,

click on Setting up Internet Addressing
(couldn't get one URL to take you to the right page)

There's the page you need to reference. Like Marv said, you don't need the foreign id to set up a new domain. Just put them all here under Internet Domain Names >> CREATE and add the new one that will be pointing to your GWIA.

You may need to restart the GWIA.

Then you can go into your users and override the default domain to select the new one for those users that need it.

Sweet! I thought I'd looked all over C1 in the GWIA properties, but I sorta forgot about those little menu options up top there under "Tools".

Thanks for the help. This should get me where I need to be!
