Hello,
We're currently building our web presence using ILWWCM JPE version on Win 2k. We've gone over the Redbook and help documentation but they're contradictory in describing how to build a site search function calling the AptrixSearch tool.

We have created a search results template, the search form HTML component, the site area, search page design and have build the <connect> tags into the page content.

We've spent about 3 days trying to get this to work and using one method we can see our search results but not in our page design. The other way, we can see the page design but no search results.

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks

I'd follow the section in the WebHelp (webhelp\help\the_aptrixsearch_module.htm) and only look at the Redbook information if you really have to. The Redbook isn't finished (latest draft is 20th April) and misses important information in a lot of the sections - particularly during the installation.

Do you have a URL that we can have a look at? I'd be happy to have a look at your code if you like.

Pete.

Thanks, WartookMan, for the reply.

We've hammered out the issue. It had to do with how we were calling the AptrixSearchModule in the connect.cfg configuration file.

It would be nice if the ILWWCM search capabilities were more robust and not just a basic search. We're working now to only search across the keywords defined in our content and building a .js file component that will 'page' the search results.

Anyway, thanks again.

Taichimaster,

Did you get <AJPETemplate> tags to work? I can't figure out where in the PageDesign to put it st. they are recognized.

(I tried putting it between the <HEAD> ... </HEAD> tags.)

Thanks for any help.

Jeff
