Illustrator Problem 2

I am using Illustrator 9.0 and for some odd reason I can not use the Type>Character tool?? It just doesn't appear. It does on my laptop...but not my PC? Any ideas

Close Illustrator and then delete your preference files.
Then when you open Illustrator you will have all the orginal setting just as it looked the first time you lanched the program. It will not affect your documents in anyway.

Thanks...I'll definitely try this tomorrow at the office. I gather my Preferences can be found in Program Files > Adobe Illustrator...correct?

go to mycomputer - c:\ drive - documents and settings - user name - application data - adobe - illustrator
