Illustrator layers to Photoshop.

Is there a good way to keep the layers in Illustrator(or groupings) when transfering it to PhotoShop?

I am more familiar with PS and do all of my Web Design in PS. I am talking with someone to help out with design but she is more familiar with Illustrator. Is there a way to do this without manually seperating the file?

Yes. Make sure the Write Layers option is checked when you export as .PSD
