Illustrator: How to curve a rectangle?

I'm trying to follow this tutorial:

I have been able to create the rectangle, add the extra nodes, remove the bottom corners and reposition the size nodes so that it comes to a tip.

I'm stuck at the 'Curve the vertical lines inwards'. I can select the two paths on the right and left of the sword, but after that I'm not sure how to go about creating the curves.

I've attached the .ai to the point where I got stuck. Could anyone point me to a tutorial for curving a rectangle, or suggest what the proper tool would be? (Using Adobe Illustrator).

...you can achieve what you need with the anchor tool, part of the pen tool...the pen tool takes time to master, you can view this comprehensive guide which will have you up and running:
