I've got this weird problem where I had to save an AI file on my desktop and the file freaked out and crashed my computer and now I CANNOT get rid of it. It says it's being used by another program at all times even when nothing is running. It's just sitting there forever. It won't open back up in illustrator either. It makes startup slow and when viewing desktop files through say explorer it stops on the bad file and i have to wait a minute for it list. Anyone ever had this problem or know what I can do to get rid of it?

start up in safe mode and delete it. Then goto to and do their free virus scan.
