Hi all,
the thing that is bothering me for quite a long time is why Illustrator exports just few paths of my vector drawing to dxf ?? I had done my paths in Photoshop (I am completely new to Illustrator)and exported paths to AI, everything displayed fine but when I export it to dxf and open in VariCad (something like AutoCad) it shows up only few lines of my artwork ...what I have noticed is that it exports mainly straight paths (although it exported also one circular shape)... ??? I tried to save my drawing also in jpg and trace it in Illustrator but cause I am not experienced user in AI, the result was somehow unexpected..
One more question ...because it is a part of one complex problem and I have started in total desperation to redraw in 2d all my Lightwave 3d models , i would like to ask whether it is possible to outline somehow in Illustrator complex meshes or just single layers and create paths according to this selection (my models when imported as .eps display complex triangular meshes and what I need is just outlines ..)
Can anyone gimme advice ..??? I had been bothering with that conversion from 3d to 2d for about week without any success nor result...
Cheers , Meerah
