I am new to illustrator and I have to send art work to printers. I work on a PC and they require the files in MAC format.

Can anyone please tell me how this is done and any effects it may have to the artwork?

Also, they need the files in EPS format. Is this format automatically transferable between PC and MAC? I have converted all my fonts to outline and emended the background images. Would I expect any problems with the way I have applied this file?

All help would be appreciated!

You have done all you need to do. It is also possible to simply embed the fonts with the EPS or PDF file. Outlining sometimes causes type to look fat.

If your printer still has issues with your files, find another printer that knows what they are doing.

The only reason why a printer should be asking for files for Mac in the year 2007 is to avoid having to work with Microsoft Publisher files. AI, EPS, PDF, PSD, INDD, QXP, etc are all cross-platform compatible file formats.
