illustrator cannot load a 3rd party plugin. Any ideas?

I've dowloaded the demo version from Hot door perspective 1.0 for illustrator 10 plug in. After doing the setup ( into the plugins\tools dir) and ran the programm , I kept getting an error from illustrator as it scanned for plugins:

error loading plugins - perspective aip

The programm loaded alright but no sign of the plugin
What could be the problem? Any ideas?

The illustrator is a dowloaded version and running on a XP os. Dont know if I could be missing some files on the illustrator.

it sounds to me like the plug-in is not regestering itself in the Windows registry, or that the plug-in version combatibility is not for the AI version you have. Check the plug-in makers site on how to register it(probably using RegSvr32) and verion compatibility.
