Illustrator 9.0 Issues

Seletect some text with the intention to "convert to Outline". This option was not found... seeking guidance.

Additionally, the F1 help option on the top toolbar launches the firefox web browser, not help files. Is there any way to 'point' towards the appropriate folder.

Is there a way to reinstall just the help files from the CD or just locate help files on the CD itself? Much thanks for any guidance

'CRTL+SHIFT+O' should convert text; the other issues, I can't help with- sorry!
