I am getting an illegal operation when opening any report in Paradox 7. I have run the BDE 3.5 patch + various others I have but none have solved the problem. It definately isnt the file because there are many and non open, but they do on other PC's. I have tried uninstalling & deleting files not removed during the install, then re-installing but it still doesn't work! I am running on Windows 95, please help!

I've seen this with a couple of things:
1. Your report was last saved with a filter defined. Open the report in Design mode, go into the Filter/Range dialog box, clear any active filters/ranges, save your report, close it, and then reopen it in a Preview window.
2. Your report was last saved with a style sheet (Paradox does this without you realizing it) that doesn't exist on the machine that you're trying to open it on now. In that case, you need to resave the report using a stylesheet that exists on the machine you're using. There are more details on this phenomenon at and in the related articles listed near the end of that document.
3. You may also have calculated fields that depend on tables/fields that've changed in the interim, though I generally get other errors when that happens.

Thanx for your help Lance but I am still getting the error when trying to open the reports even in design view, and changing the style sheets didn't work either! Cheers for trying though, I think I'm going to try giving him Paradox 5 to see if that brings up the same error. Other than that I'm stumped!
