ILL CS WON'T OPEN

WE RECENTLY CHANGED SERVERS. HOWEVER MY FILES WERE ON MY DESK TOP. WHEN I TRIED TO OPEN OLD FILES THE MESG IS "CAN'T OPEN THE ILLUSTRATION". WHEN I TRY TO OPEN A NEW ILL. THE MESG IS "CAN'T IMPORT THE STYLES FROM THIS FILE". IN BOTH CASES YOU CAN CLICK THROUGH AND A NEW ILLUSTRATION SEEMS TO BE FUNCTIONING. WE UNINSTALLED THE PROGRAM AND REINSTALLED AND IT IS THE SAME. HELP PLEASE.

1) it possible to morph 2 photos in illustrator using the blend tool? I need to morph a rusty car into a bright shiny car. They want it in a horizontal direction. Would it be easier in photoshop?
2) EPS pix from photoshop look bad in illustrator. PSD look ok. what format should I use when transferring to illustrator?
