So, I want to be sure I link my images from photoshop 7 when I place them into ill.9. When I tell it to place them, I get the dialog box "convert photoshop layer to obj." or "flatten photoshop layers to a single image", is this the section asking if I want to embed or link the placed image, if so which one is it? I want to be sure I get my colors correct before I go to the printing press. This coincides with my previous ques., "spot color and cmyk"
thanks, erin

This has nothing to do with embeding. This just preserves the layers from photoshop or not.
Make sure that your Photoshop file color space ( probably CMYK) match the color space of your AI documet where you are placing it to avoid unneccesary conversions.
To make sure that you dont link it, uncheck the "link" check box in lower left corner of Place dialog box. [flush3] ...don't take it too seriously

All right, I didnt read your previous question....thats another story.... [flush3] ...don't take it too seriously
