On a laptop, running Win XP Pro, with administrator access:


We are unable to hotsync a Palm m105. We press the hotsync button and nothing happens. Tried synching via IR and it says another program is using the port. This is the error we get on reinstallation of Palm Desktop:

When I reinstalled Palm Desktop 4.0.1, at the very end of the install (after clicking on finish button) I get an error...
"iKernel.exe The instruction at "0x771c732a" referenced memory at "0x00163cb0" The memory could not be read."

Any Ideas?

Have you tried downloading and installig the latest version of Palm Desktop software? Version 4.1 has been shipping for quite a while, and works fine with the M105.

That's exactly what I did. 4.1 works perfectly.
