i have an Ikebana Firsblaster 80gb external hard drive. when i power it on i get green and red flashing lights on the drive but no startup. it seems to be the power supply, which is currently flashing green (which i assume is abnormal). this has happened to me before, and in the past it has always started working again eventually but i wonder do i need a new power cord? anybody know what causes this?

I have never heard of this external drive but I would open it up and check to be sure the connections are solid. If that doesn't work you should be able to isolate it to a case problem or a disk problem by removing the disk and installign it in a pc case to see if it will spin up and get recognized.
