I apologize for my ignorance in this subject matter. However, for ease of administration, I would like to get some ideas about how to write a script to do the following:

For each server in web farm,
send the command "iisreset" with a timeout specified.

I know I would read a list in for this...but I am so green, I probably would struggle with a "Hello World" script!

iisreset can be run with commandline params specifying the servername? if so then just a script on an admin pc with the the right permissions will do it (for each loop)

if not then you can use LDAP to bind to IIS:// with the target server name and issue a .Reset method call

sorry, not LDAP but ADSI (perhaps they are similar)
