We have been using virtual directories that point to IFS folders on our 400 for years on our Win2003/IIS6 machines no problem, but now we are moving to Win2008/IIS7 machines and they no longer work, we can see the files in IIS7 in the virtuals, permissions are the same (full), but we either get an access denied error or a 500.19 browser error with no details. We can see the folders on the network from the 2008 machines and can open them, problem is with internet browsing, have tried, IE, Chrome, and Firefox..no go. Have tried numerous security configurations including giving every user everything, and many other things, nothing works. Any help is appreciated as we are out of ideas. I am starting to think IIS7 is not compatible with IFS??

Thanks for the response..checking it out now.

Do you know if this would only affect internet browsing and not network? We can see the files on the network and can even open them, the problem happens when we try to internet browse to them through the iis 7 virtual directory that points to them on the IFS. I have even disabled NTLMv2 on the 2008 box..doesn't help. PTFs on the 400 are all latest too. We can even see the files in iis 7 when the virtual directory is selected..just can't internet browse to them.
